Primary (sick) care is available for patients who receive family planning, prenatal care, or child health services from the Health Department. If you need hospital or specialty care, we will refer you to UNC Hospitals.
How much do primary care appointments cost?
- There is a $20 minimum fee for each visit. This must be paid before you see the doctor.
- We can bill Medicaid, BCBSNC, and Cigna for the rest of the costs.
- If you do not have insurance, we use a sliding fee scale based on your family size and income.
Evening hours are available
- Tuesdays in Hillsborough
- Thursdays in Chapel Hill
- After-hours services are available by phone through UNC HealthLink.
