Hillsborough, NC (April 15, 2025) -- Free Freshstart Quit-Nicotine Class in May 2025
The Orange County Health Department is offering a free Freshstart class in May for anyone 18 years or older who lives or works in Orange County.
Freshstart is a program that helps people quit using nicotine. It works for anyone who smokes, uses dip, vapes, or uses other nicotine products. You’ll learn helpful tips and support in a small group setting.
In this class, you’ll learn:
How to know when you’re ready to quit and how to choose your quit day
What medicines can help you quit
Lifestyle changes that make quitting easier
How to get ready for your quit day
Ways to handle stress and avoid gaining weight
How to stay nicotine-free for good
The class has two sessions, each two hours long, for a total of four hours.
Classes will be held in person on Wednesdays, May 7 and May 14, from 4–6 p.m.
