In this mixed level chess class, students will be provided with a level appropriate workbook for independent study, while working in class with a range of exercises designed to build pattern recognition of increasingly complex tactical themes. Opening principles and middlegame ideas may be discussed and demonstrated and students will have the opportunity to test their play amongst their peers. This class is suitable for students who have completed several sessions of chess 1B or are rated roughly 200-1000 online. A chess workbook will be included in the class fee.
