Kiddies in the Kitchen
Kiddies in the Kitchen is a six-week program that teaches young children kitchen fundamentals. This very basic introduction to cooking teaches children how to follow directions as well as basic kitchen skills such as mixing, measuring, and kitchen safety. This class involves light cooking using a cooktop or toaster oven that is done under the close supervision of staff.
Parents are welcome to attend the first class. However, after the first class, parents are asked to please not remain in the classroom after you have dropped your child off. Parental presence tends to affect participants' attention and inhibit the establishment of relationships with peers and trusted adults.
