Home Safety Assessments

In-home safety assessments are client-driven, customized meetings with the occupational therapist that average 45 minutes to an hour.  Topics commonly addressed include aging-in-place, falls risks, ramp installation, grab bar placement, and overall safety/usability of the home.

Cost

Assessments are free to Orange County residents. 

Results

In-home assessments result in follow-up recommendations. The occupational therapist can connect residents to community resources provide referrals for various intervention strategies. In some cases, the occupational therapist can also facilitate minor home modifications to be completed by a contractor.

Wait Time

Depending on when you sign up , wait time for receiving an assessment may range from 1 to 4 weeks.
