Orange County, NC (est. 1752) is located between the Research Triangle Park and the Triad cities of Greensboro, Winston-Salem, and High Point. The population of Orange County is just over 148,000 (2021) and the area encompasses 401 square miles of rural, suburban and urban areas. This area includes the Towns of Chapel Hill, Hillsborough, Carrboro, and the community of Efland. Including the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, the oldest public university in the nation (est. 1789).
Orange County Emergency Medical Services covers the area utilizing eight strategically station-based ambulances that run either 24 or 12 hours shifts. Daily Operation is run by four Administrators and two EMS Shift Supervisors.
