[ARCHIVED] Health Department seeks volunteers for the 2023 Community Health Assessment

The Orange County Health Department (OCHD) has begun the process for the 2023 Orange County Community Health Assessment (CHA).  We are seeking volunteers to assist with the process through participation on one or more of the below four teams.

  • Survey Development Team – This team will assist with creating and providing guidance for the community survey. The Survey Development Team will be responsible for: 1) reviewing previously asked CHA survey questions, 2) obtaining input from community partners and agencies for potential new questions.
  • Community Engagement Team – This team will share information regarding the CHA process with the public. The Community Engagement Team will be responsible for: 1) identifying communities, 2) community engagement and input, 3) identifying missing populations, and 4) assisting with community events.   
  • Communication and Marketing Team – This team will share information about the CHA process with those who live and work in Orange County. The Communication and Marketing group will be responsible for: 1) Creating communication materials, and 2) marketing the CHA process through various networks.
  • Data Team – This team will provide expertise on data collection and analysis. The Data Team will be responsible for: 1) identifying best practices for primary and secondary data collection, 2) identifying data collection and analysis programs, 3) identifying opportunities for data collection process improvement, and 4) ensuring that data analysis is easily understood by the general public.

Each team will have regular communications and meetings. The Survey Development Team will interact frequently from February to April 2023. The other three teams will meet monthly from February to December 2023. All of these teams will work together to help ensure that the CHA process is inclusive, equitable and beneficial to the entire Orange County community.
