[ARCHIVED] Orange County announces closings for holidays

Orange County administrative offices will be closed from Dec. 24-26 in observance of Christmas and Jan. 1 in observance of New Year's Day. Please note the following exceptions.

Curbside recycling will run as normal on Tuesday, Dec. 24, and  Thursday, Dec. 26. Recycling for Wednesday, Dec. 25, will be collected on Saturday, Dec. 28. Recycling for Wednesday, Jan. 1, will be collected on Saturday, Jan. 4. Please have your bins out by 7 a.m. 

Waste and Recycling Centers and the landfill will be closed Dec. 24-25 and will operate as normal on Dec. 26.

Orange County Public Transit will operate limited service serving the in-county dialysis route only (Carolina Dialysis) on Dec. 24 and Dec. 26.

In order to provide two working days notice for scheduling trips, requests for Friday, Dec. 27, must be received by 5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 20. Trip requests for Monday, Dec. 30, must be received by 5 p.m. Monday, Dec. 23.

For Animal Control emergencies, including potential rabies exposures or animal bites to humans, please call 911 to be connected to our on-call Animal Control Officer. The after-hours animal drop off (night drop) will remain open and will be checked daily.
