The Orange County Department on Aging invites the public to the next Aging in Community: Planning for Our Future speaker series, "RETIREMENT: Perhaps the afternoon knows what the morning never suspected."--Robert Frost.
Do you ever wonder what possibilities lay ahead when you leave work? What do retirees say about money? How does your retirement affect your loved ones? Are there other considerations as you approach your new life?
These questions and more will be addressed by a diverse panel of “experts” on retirement. Our panel will include someone who is easing into retirement, someone who has retired within the last decade, and a married couple who is well into their new lives away from formal work. They will share their stories - the surprises, the ups, the downs, the opportunities and the experiences that helped them write their unique retirement script.
The event will take place on Wednesday, April 10, from 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. at the Seymour Center located at 2551 Homestead Road in Chapel Hill.
The event is FREE. Participants are asked to register by Monday, April 8.
For more information or to register, please call the Seymour Center at 919-968-2070.
We hope you’ll leave this event inspired to think about the endless possibilities your life could hold in retirement.
