Winter Storm Diego dumped almost a foot of snow in areas of Orange County. Travel conditions throughout the county are treacherous, but DOT and town crews have made progress in the towns and on the highways. Orange County public safety officials continue to advise residents to stay off the roads to allow crews to clear the roads and to allow emergency vehicles to be able to respond to requests for service. County ClosingsOrange County Administrative offices will be closed Monday. The Orange County Sportsplex will open at noon, Orange County Animal Services will monitor the drop off. Orange County Solid Waste will make up for Monday's missed recycling collections on Saturday. Both public school systems and the Orange County Courts are also closed. Power OutagesPower company officials are expecting significant power outages across North Carolina throughout the impact area. Below is the contact information to report power outages. |
