The Orange County Department on Aging and the Project EngAGE Intergenerational Senior Resource Team (SRT) invite the public to attend an outdoor community event, Celebrating the Generations on Aug. 21.
August 22nd is National Senior Citizens Day and a perfect opportunity to celebrate all of our students before they return to the classrooms Aug. 23. Join the Intergenerational SRT for a FREE backpack extravaganza to get all of our students school ready, followed by a cookout and the movie, Luca – to show our older adults how much we love and appreciate them! We’re celebrating everyone and creating memories.
Program sponsored in partnership with Orange County Sheriff’s Office, Orange County Schools, Hillsborough Rotary Club, Maple View Ice Cream, and New Horizon Church.
The FREE event will take place on Saturday, Aug. 21, from 6:30 – 9:30 p.m. at New Horizon Church, 100 Horizon Pl, Durham 27705 (located off of Hwy 70 East in Orange County).
