The Orange County Department on Aging and the Project EngAGE Mental Wellness Senior Resource Team invite the public to attend a Gardening Workshop on April 26.
Did you know gardening can reduce stress and anxiety? April is Stress Awareness Month, and gardening is just one of many ways we can decrease stress levels which can lead to risk of heart disease, stroke, high blood pressure, and other chronic conditions.
Join the Carrboro Garden Club, NC Botanical Garden, Orange County Extension Master Gardeners, Orange County Beekeepers Association, and Flower Ladies of Seymour for an afternoon of plant therapy as we learn about beekeeping, native plants, repotting, worms, pruning and more!
The event will take place on Fri., Apr 26, from 2 - 3:30 pm, at the Seymour Center, located at 2551 Homestead Road in Chapel Hill.
Please register by Wed, Apr 24 with the Seymour Center front desk at 919-968-2070.
