[ARCHIVED] Orange County to host 2024 Orange County Senior Games and SilverArts

The Orange County Department on Aging, Carrboro Recreation and Parks and Chapel Hill Parks and Recreation invite adults ages 50+ to participate in the 2024 Orange County Senior Games and SilverArts! 

The 2024 Senior Games Kick-Off and SilverArts: Heritage & Visual Art Show for athletes and artists will be held on Thu, Apr. 11 at 4:30 pm at the Seymour Center located at 2551 Homestead Rd., Chapel Hill. The event includes prizes, food, music, and special performing arts. To register for the kick-off event, please call 919-968-2070 by Thu., Apr. 4.

 The 2024 Orange County Senior Games and SilverArts events will take place from April 11 – May 8. The final deadline to register to participate as an athlete or artist is Friday, March 22.  

 Senior Games is a year-round health promotion program for adults ages 50 and over. Activities include sports and games competitions and tournaments, and social activities.

 SilverArts is a celebration of creative expression, and a major component of NC’s Senior Games and includes, visual, heritage and performing arts. SilverArts unite the traditional athlete and artist in a program that recognizes discipline, dedication, and pride in one's accomplishments.

 The 2024 Orange County Senior Games and SilverArts events will take place from April 11 – May 8. The final deadline to register to participate as an athlete or artist is Friday, March 22.  

Pick up or call one of the sponsoring locations for a participant registration application and a schedule of events: The Passmore Center - Hillsborough, The Seymour Center – Chapel Hill, Carrboro Recreation and Parks, and Chapel Hill Parks and Recreation.
