Community Climate Action Grant Program
Thank you for your interest in Orange County's Community Climate Action Grant Program! The FY 25-26 grant funding application period is now closed. The next application cycle will open in June 2026.
The Community Climate Action Grant Program is dedicated to accelerating our Climate Action Plan strategies and encouraging community climate change mitigation actions in Orange County. All public and nonprofit entities are eligible to apply as well as small businesses with a maximum annual gross revenue of $3 million. We are looking for great project ideas that help reduce greenhouse gas emissions and make a positive impact in our community. Look at the background information below to learn more.

The application and project scoring are based on the eligibility rules and scoring guidelines created and adopted by the Board of County Commissioners.
Emissions Reduction Calculations:
The grant application requests that you estimate the greenhouse gas emissions reduction of your project. Please read through this document (pdf) to help you complete this part of the application successfully. If you need assistance with these calculations, please email Orange County Sustainability before July 31 at 5 pm.

Congratulations to our Community Climate Action Grant Program FY 25-26 grant awardees. On January 20, 2026 the BOCC approved $267,750 in grant funds to be distributed to the following organizations.

Urban Sustainability Solutions | Installation of riparian buffers by high school students in a certified green infrastructure training program |

| Red Hawk Farm | Renewable energy infrastructure |
