Schedule

The 2023 Cohort begins Tuesday, Feb. 28. The class will meet from 6-8 p.m. every other Tuesday night and will meet nine times. Field trips will be held in-person at a location within the county. Classroom sessions will be offered virtually through Zoom. The graduation ceremony (June 20) will be held in-person prior to the Board of Commissioners meeting at the Whitted Building in Hillsborough.

The first session is an overview of county government. Succeeding sessions will include 3-4 presentations on various county departments (virtual) or field trips to either Orange County Animal Services, the Orange County Landfill, the Orange County Main Library, the 911 Center and Seymour Senior Center.
