Community Relations
The Community Relations Department is responsible for public information and community engagement. It works to strengthen communication with residents and businesses by promoting active engagement and sharing information through online resources, brochures, social media, and traditional news outlets.
Our Services
- This Week in Orange County Newsletter is a weekly email that explores the programs and activities of Orange County, NC Government departments.
- Orange County Government Academy is a comprehensive, eight-week program designed to educate residents about the inner workings of Orange County government.
- Guide to Orange County Government is a printed booklet that helps residents and visitors to learn about the many programs and services provided by Orange County Government.
- Orange County Roadshows are free, family-friendly events that let community members access government services in an informal setting near home.
- Orange County Government Gazette is published on the first Wednesday of each month in The News of Orange and highlights programs and services from your county government.
- Manage www.orangecountync.gov
- The Community Giving Fund supports Orange County departments and programs through donations. All gifts are tax-deductible and can include cash, stocks, bonds, or property, and the money is used to support the county’s budget.
- Strategic Communications Plan helps people get more involved by improving communication, using inclusive ways to connect, and strengthening community relationships.
