Orange County prohibits scavenging from all Solid Waste facilities and recycling containers. Materials placed inside Orange County recycling containers become the property of Orange County.
If you witness anyone stealing materials from recycling containers, do not attempt to try to stop them yourself. Please call or email Orange County Solid Waste Management at (919) 968-2788 or recycling@orangecountync.gov if you witness scavenging.
*Items that are placed in the Salvage Sheds at the Waste and Recycling Centers are available for Orange County Residents to take away from the sites.
