Business Listing Extension Request 

If your business cannot file the Business Personal Property Listing by the regular deadline, you may request extra time. An approved extension moves your filing deadline to April 15.

Who can request an extension

  • Any Orange County business that needs more time to file its Business Personal Property Listing.
  • Requests must be submitted on or before January 31 February 13 (the listing period has been extended by the Orange County Board of County Commissioners for the 2026 tax year).

How to request an extension

Choose one of the options below:

  • Online:  Business Listing Extension Request Form
Note: The online extension request form is only available from January 1 through January 31 February 13 (the listing period has been extended by the Orange County Board of County Commissioners for the 2026 tax year) each year. The form will go live on January 1 and will be inaccessible outside of this period.

Important deadlines

  • January 31 February 13 – Last day to request an extension
  • April 15 – Extended deadline to file your business listing
  • If you do not file by April 15, a 10% late penalty will be added to your account. For details, see the  Business Personal Property information page .
