Orange County Residents,

Programs That Could See Delays or Changes

The departments most likely to be affected are:

  • Aging
  • Housing
  • *Social Services
  • Transportation Services

Additionally, the shutdown could potentially delay FEMA reimbursements for damage to public facilities caused by Tropical Storm Chantal.

*At this time, critical benefits such as Medicaid and SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) are expected to continue.

What the County is Doing

  • Continuity of Operations: County services are fully staffed and operating on normal schedules.
  • Monitoring & Updates: We are tracking federal guidance closely and will share updates at orangecountync.gov.
