Mel has been working in Environmental Health programs since 1996. He currently serves the Department as Senior Environmental Health Specialist, where he works as a subject-matter expert for wastewater installers and reviews quality assurance. Mel also specializes in lead assessment in the Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention program. Mel leads the West Campus Building Safety Committee. He is one of the Department's drone pilots. Mel's work hours are M-F, 8am-5pm alternating Tu-Fri, 7am-5:30pm.
