Job Seekers, Know Your Worth

Job seekers need to know their worth, their value -- before they initiate their search. And this can easily be done. There are numerous Web sites -- www.mynextmove.org, indeed.com, glassdoor.com,
salary.com, and more.

When talking with employers or their representatives, a good way to answer an inquiry about what salary or salary level are you seeking, is to answer this with your own question: "what's your target?" or "what's your objective?" More than half the time, you'll get a specific answer, or range. If they insist on you going first, then say "market rate." And you'll know what this is because you've done your homework.
