[ARCHIVED] Join us to celebrate National Family Caregivers Month in November

Orange County Department on Aging invites family caregivers to join us for a time of self-care, wellness and appreciation at the Caregiver Day of Care.

The event celebrates National Family Caregivers Month by recognizing and honoring the efforts and commitment of family caregivers in Orange County.

Join us on Saturday, Nov. 9, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Seymour Center in Chapel Hill where caregivers will enjoy:

  • All-day relaxation room with massage and aroma therapy
  • Wellness activities
  • Educational classes
  • Art workshops
  • Live Music
  • Raffles
  • Refreshments, lunch and more!

The event is free. Participants are asked to register by Saturday, Nov. 2. To register, please call 919-968-2070.

In addition, Limited respite care is available. Requests must be made by Friday, October 18, and are on a first come, first serve basis. To request respite care, please email Lisa Meinert at lmeinert@orangecountync.gov or call 919-245-2000.

The Seymour Center is located at 2551 Homestead Road in Chapel Hill.
