Orange County will once again sponsor the IRS VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) tax preparation program.
IRS Certified VITA volunteers provide FREE federal and state income tax preparation, including free electronic filing, to eligible individuals with low-to-middle income. Clients are not restricted by age or county residency, but must meet eligibility guidelines.

VITA is part of Volunteer Connect 55+ (VC55+), a division of the Orange County Department on Aging. Other sponsors include the IRS, United Way of the Greater Triangle and the towns of Chapel Hill and Carrboro.
