The Orange County Department on Aging and the Project EngAGE Mental Wellness Senior Resource Team invite the public to attend an event titled Being Kind to Ourselves: Practicing Self Compassion on November 6.
We recognize the importance of being kind those around us – our friends, our family, and even the stranger in the checkout line at a grocery store. We practice kindness and compassion towards our loved ones. Yet, it is so hard to feel compassion towards ourselves.
Join the Project EngAGE Mental Wellness Senior Resource Team for a presentation on the importance of treating our own selves with kindness and compassion, followed by a hands-on art activity.
This FREE in-person event will take place on Thursday, November 6 from 4 – 5:30 at the Seymour Center located at 2551 Homestead Rd in Chapel Hill.
Please register by Monday, November 3 at 919-968-2070.
If you have questions or need assistance with registration, please contact Lana Dennis at 919-245-4276.
