a. Proclamation Recognizing and Honoring Ron Stutts
The Board voted to approve a proclamation recognizing and honoring Ron Stutts for his 43 years of serving the Chapel Hill/Carrboro and Orange County community on WCHL radio and authorized the Chair to sign.
(Unanimous)b. Proclamation Recognizing and Expressing Appreciation to Nancy Grebenkemper
The Board voted to approve a proclamation recognizing and expressing appreciation to Nancy Grebenkemper for her devotion and service to the people of Orange County through PORCH Hillsborough and authorized the Chair to sign.
(Unanimous)c. Black History Month Proclamation
The Board voted to approve a proclamation designating February 2021 as Black History Month in Orange County and authorized the Chair to sign.

a. Review of Zoning Atlas Amendment: NC Highway 57 Speedway Rural Economic Development Area (REDA-CZ-1) – Rougemont Self Storage
The Board held a public hearing, received the Planning Board/staff recommendation and public comment, and voted to approve an applicant initiated Zoning Atlas Amendment for a parcel within the Little River Township of the County. Specifically, Darrell Chandler of Rougemont Storage Center, LLC, is seeking to rezone approximately 7.37 acres of a parcel at 8927 Mile Branch Road to NC Highway 57 Speedway Rural Economic Development Area (REDA-CZ-1
). (Approved 5-2 with Commissioners Bedford and Hamilton dissenting) 6. Regular Agenda a. Community Climate Action Grant - Project Selection for FY20-21The Board received the grant project funding recommendations of the Human Relations Commission and the Commission for the Environment for the FY20-21 Orange County Community Climate Action Grant Program, and approved funding for the recommended Community Climate Action Grant projects for FY20-21.
(Unanimous)b. Appointments to the Orange County Justice Advisory CouncilThe Board considered making changes to the Justice Advisory Council (JAC) structure and approved associated appointments to the Justice Advisory Council.

Appointments to the Orange County Broadband Task ForceThe Board voted to appoint two Commissioners and representatives from the Orange County Manager’s Office, Chapel Hill Carrboro City Schools, Orange County Schools, the NC Department of Information Technology, and Durham Technical Community College to the Orange County Broadband Task Force.
(Unanimous)The Board voted to appoint five At Large members from the applications received to the Orange County Broadband Task Force.

(Approved 6-1 with Commissioner Dorosin dissenting)The Board voted for approval of a charge for the BOCC Elections Advisory Group and to direct the Group to select Co-Chairs, with one individual from the District 1 area of the County and one individual from the District 2 area of the County.
