Hispanic Heritage Month is Sep 15 - Oct 15. We will show a documentary film series, Latino Americans that was shown on PBS and chronicles the rich and varied history and experiences of Latinos, who have helped shape North America the last 500+ years. With more than 50 million people, they are the largest minority group in the US. NOTE: FILMS ARE IN SPANISH WITH ENGLISH SUB-TITLES. Thu, Oct 10 – Episode highlights the swelling immigration from Puerto Rico, Cuba and the Dominican Republic that stretches from the post-World War II years into the early 1960s as the new arrivals seek economic opportunities.
