This giant egg hunt has three separate age group hunt areas: 2 to 4-years-old, 5 to 7-years-old, and 8 to 10-years-old. There will be plenty of eggs for everyone so please bring a basket to collect your eggs! The event also includes free crafts and a visit from the Bunny. Inflatables, face painting, and concessions will be available for a small fee.

Face Painting - wristband required
Wristbands available for sale on site for $5; cash or credit card accepted.

Hunt Times

2-4-years-old - 6:15 p.m.
5-7-years-old - 6:30 p.m.
8-10-years-old - 6:45 p.m.
If moved indoors, egg hunts will begin at 6:00 p.m. and occur on a rolling basis with small groups participating at a time; participants do not need to attend a time specific to their age.


Parking

FREE parking is available in the River deck behind Weaver Street Market accessible from Churton Street at the intersection with Nash & Kollock Street.  From the deck, River Park is accessible either by crossing over Churton Street at the light or by crossing under using the Riverwalk.  Parking is also available in downtown lots and street side spaces; please obey all parking signs and regulations.  

Rain Date

In the event of inclement weather, the Community Egg Hunt will be moved indoors to the Central Recreation Center, 302 West Tryon Street. Event times for bounce houses, crafts, face painting and visiting the bunny will remain the same at 5:30 p.m.-8:00 p.m.  Egg Hunts will occur on a rolling basis with small groups participating at a time; participants do not need to attend a time specific to their age.  Check our weather hotline at 919.254.2669 for updates on Thursday.
