Long-Range Planning Project Updates
Orange County Land Use Plan 2050 – Guiding Our Future
On March 11, the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) received a preliminary draft Land Use Plan 2050. Board review and feedback on the draft was requested to inform any changes to the draft required prior to the opening of the next Community Engagement Window. Subsequently, the Board requested additional background information from County staff for the purpose of further informing its review.
In response to the Board’s request, Informational presentations are to take place at BOCC meetings through November 2025. The BOCC will receive a schedule for these presentations, as well as potential financial impacts of guest presenters, at its August 26 regular BOCC meeting. Community Engagement Window #3, to unveil a draft Land Use Plan 2050, is anticipated to occur in the spring of next year. Additional information, including robust public notification, will be forthcoming closer to the opening of engagement.
