4.  Proclamations/ Resolutions/ Special Presentations

a.  Black History Month Proclamation

The Board approved a proclamation declaring February 2024 as Black History Month.

b.   OWASA Annual Update Presentation

The Board received a presentation and information from the Orange Water and Sewer Authority (OWASA) on recent activities.

5.   Public Hearings

a.   Orange County FY 2025 Annual Transit Work Program

The Board conducted a public hearing on the Orange County FY 2025 Annual Transit Work Program (AWP).

6.   Regular Agenda

a.  Approval of a Countywide Strategic Plan for FY 2024-25 through FY 2028-29

The Board approved a Countywide Strategic Plan for FY 2024-25 through FY 2028-29.

b.  Orange County’s Proposed 2024 Priority Legislative Issues

The Board:

1) reviewed and discussed the proposed Orange County 2024 Priority Legislative Issues and other potential items for inclusion in Orange County’s legislative agenda package for the 2024 North Carolina General Assembly Session; and

2) approved the Orange County 2024 Priority Legislative Issues document for submittal to Orange County’s legislative delegation.
