a.  “The Nature of Orange” Photography Contest 2023

The Board recognized the winners and thanked all participants along with judges of “The Nature of Orange” 2023 Photography Contest.  

6.   Regular Agenda

a.  Approval of a Professional Services Contract with Gensler to Provide Community Engagement Services for a Greene Tract Master Plan

The Board received a historical perspective on engagement activities related to the development of the Greene Tract and approved a new community engagement proposal to inform the site design process. (Approved 5-2, with Vice-Chair McKee and Commissioner Portie-Ascott dissenting.)

b.  Approval of Budget Amendment #3-A to Fund the Bridge Housing Opportunity at 2032 Homestead Road in Chapel Hill in Collaboration with Alliance Health and Caramore, Inc.

The Board approved Budget Amendment #3-A to provide start-up and short-term operational funding for a Bridge Housing program at 2032 Homestead Road in Chapel Hill in collaboration with Alliance Health and Caramore, Inc. (Unanimous)

7.   Reports

a.  Implementation of Medicaid Expansion in Orange County

The Board received an update regarding the expanded Medicaid availability in Orange County beginning on December 1, 2023.

b.  US 70 Multimodal Corridor Plan

The Board received the draft Existing Conditions Report and provided comments on the US 70 Multimodal Corridor Study.
