a. Public Safety Telecommunicators Week Proclamation

The Board approved a proclamation recognizing the week of April 9-15, 2023 as Public Safety Telecommunicators Week in Orange County.  (Unanimous)

5. Public Hearings

a. Public Hearing on FY 2023-2024 Annual Action Plan for the HOME Investment Partnerships Program 

The Board held a public hearing on the Annual Action Plan for the HOME Investment Partnerships Program.  

b. Application for Zoning Atlas Amendment – Parcel Located at 3026 White Cross Road, Chapel Hill, in Bingham Township

The Board held a public hearing, received the Planning Board/staff recommendation and public comment, closed the public hearing, and denied the applicant-initiated Zoning Atlas Amendment to rezone a 4.83+/- acre parcel (PIN: 9749-40-2351) located at 3026 White Cross Road, Chapel Hill within the Bingham Township of Orange County from AR (Agricultural Residential), & NC-2 (Neighborhood Commercial) to NR-CD (Non-Residential Conditional District). (Approved 4-3, with Vice-Chair McKee, Commissioner Portie-Ascott, and Commissioner Richards dissenting.)
