Oil Painting – Beginning

Peace Education Program
This dynamic 10-week series is designed to explore our inner resources, innate tools for living such as inner strength, choice, self-awareness, appreciation, clarity, understanding, dignity, contentment, hope - and the possibility of personal peace. Not political or religious, the program is a chance to spend an hour enjoying who we are. Videos and discussion.

Ukulele Lessons – Beginning 
The Ukulele is easy to learn and fun to play. Mickey Reed is the self-proclaimed Ukulele Lady of NC and has launched over 500 people up and down the East Coast in the ukulele playing. Death Doula Town Hall
The end-of-life process can be filled with many unknowns and uncertainties. Death Doulas have become a much needed resource as they provide emotional, physical, spiritual, and practical support. Join our expert End-of-Life Doulas for a town hall discussion on the different facets of what they do and how you can access the support. Needle Felting 101
Come create an adorable felted figurine using a process of combining and compressing loose natural fibers. Needle Felting is a simple process of physically tangling colorful vibrant wool using special needles. It's easy and fun!

TED Talks at Seymour 
Join us to watch and discuss TED Talk, "Pamela Meyer: How to Spot a Liar." On any given day we're lied to from 10-200 times, and the clues to detect those lies can be subtle and counter-intuitive. Pamela Meyer, author of "Liespotting," shows the manners and 'hotspots' used by those trained to recognize deception. Max: 30.

Impact of Trauma and EMDR
This presentation by Renee Wilson explores the effects of trauma on our lives. While learning these effects, you will also learn about the impact of Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) on the healing process. What is EMDR? It is a psychotherapy designed to safely address your trauma and to slowly desensitize you. Making it just another memory.

Pottery – Beginning/Intermediate Evening
This is a class for beginners, more experienced potters, and anyone who has always wanted to try their hand at clay work. We will have both wheel and handbuilding instruction. Join OCDoA’s dementia care specialists for a conversation around topics related to dementia education, living with cognitive change, and being a dementia caregiver. Adult Mental Health First Aid
We often know what first aid to render when someone has broken their arm or is having a heart attack, but we don't always know how to help those experiencing a mental health crisis. Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is an 8-hour training designed to help develop basic skills to assist someone who is experiencing a mental health crisis and identify professional resources that can provide additional care. Program co-hosted by the Project EngAGE Mental Wellness SRT and the Wellness Program. Min: 8/Max: 25.
