The 55+ Brain is More Creative! 
 Recent neuroscience research has discovered a handful of biological changes that occur around the age 55 that naturally bring our brains to a more creative state. This 90-minute workshop will share the research and offer useful tips and practices to help you get the most out of these changes. LGBTQ+ Winter Film, Friends and Food Series 
 
This month’s movie: Gods and Monsters. In the 1950s, James Whale, the director of Frankenstein and Bride of Frankenstein, has retired. Whale lives with his long-time housemaid, Hanna, who loyally cares for him but disapproves of his homosexuality. He battles depression, and at times contemplates suicide, as he realizes his life, his attractiveness, and his health are slipping away. Whale befriends his young, handsome gardener, Clayton Boone, and the two begin a sometimes uneasy friendship as they bond over discussions of their lives and struggles.

A Taste of Venezuela: Arepas 
 Join Aurora for our second international cooking demo, and learn how to make Venezuelan arepas. Made from cooked, ground corn meal and are filled differently depending on the time of day. Try them with a couple of fillings.

Botanical Magnolias with Carol 
 
Via ZOOM use the exquisite details that watercolors provide in order to create a careful, accurate portrayal of Magnolias in various stages of development. You will receive the drawing to transfer, and step by step together we will paint this lovely, ready-to-frame picture. Even if this is the first time, you will work at your own pace and complete a successful painting. It's so much fun! Zoom link will be sent prior to class by instructor.

You will be introduced to line, form, shading, perspective, composition and the use of various drawing materials. Pottery Beginning/Intermediate Evening

This is a class for beginners, more experienced potters, and anyone who has always wanted to try their hand at clay work. We will have both wheel and handbuilding instruction.
