4. Proclamations/ Resolutions/ Special Presentations
a. Fire Prevention Week Proclamation
The Board will consider approving a proclamation designating the week of October 9 through 15, 2022 as Fire Prevention Week in Orange County.
5. Public Hearings
a. Unified Development Ordinance (UDO) Text Amendments – Erosion & Sedimentation Control (E&SC) and Stormwater Management
The Board will hold a public hearing, receive the Planning Board and staff recommendations, receive public comment, close the public hearing, and consider action on County-initiated amendments to the Unified Development Ordinance (UDO) that are necessary to conform Orange County’s UDO to the State’s most current Model Ordinances for Erosion & Sedimentation Control (E&SC), Stormwater Management, and Performance Guarantee requirements as mandated by applicable North Carolina General Statutes and State design manuals.
6. Regular Agenda
a. Regulation of Gatherings on and near School Property and Public Playgrounds
The Board will present for first reading an ordinance regulating picketing on or within a specified distance of School Property and Public Playgrounds.
