British Life in the Victorian Age
Learn the social protocols of this fabulous, wealthy, landed aristocracy. Learn how to enter a dining room correctly. Know why your dinner conversation changes after each course. This lecture will focus on social engagement, BUT everything is in the preparation. Learn how to dress for dinner. Explore the Victorian fads for dieting and exercise. Special  Exhibit - North Carolina Museum of Art
Art Nouveau Visionary Alphonse Mucha (1860–1939) was one of the most celebrated artists in Paris at the turn of the 20th century. Influential in the art nouveau movement, he created sumptuous posters and advertising that transformed the streets of Paris into open-air art exhibitions. This exhibit celebrates the Mucha Trust collection’s first major U.S. tour in 20 years. Max 15. Zoom link provided after registration.

Folk Art with Watercolor Pencils
If you are new to drawing with watercolor pencils, you will learn a lot about this fun and accessible medium in this class! Each lesson for the week will learn how to draw various types of flowers! Upcycling a Wool Sweater

Holocaust Remembrance: Abe's Story
Our guest speaker, Steve Goldberg, has a law degree from Georgetown Law School and has taught high school history for over two decades. When Holocaust survivor Abe Piasek (1928-2020) came to speak at Steve's school, Steve was so taken by Abe's story that he is taking time away from the classroom for a few years to tell Abe's story. Abe's powerful story of survival during the Holocaust went untold for nearly 50 years and lives on through interviews Steve conducted with him, along with video clips of Abe's various speeches.
