Special  Exhibit - North Carolina Museum of Art
Art Nouveau Visionary Alphonse Mucha (1860–1939) was one of the most celebrated artists in Paris at the turn of the 20th century. Influential in the art nouveau movement, he created sumptuous posters and advertising that transformed the streets of Paris into open-air art exhibitions. Holocaust Remembrance: Abe's Story
Our guest speaker, Steve Goldberg, has a law degree from Georgetown Law School and has taught high school history for over two decades. When Holocaust survivor Abe Piasek (1928-2020) came to speak at Steve's school, Steve was so taken by Abe's story that he is taking time away from the classroom for a few years to tell Abe's story. Abe's powerful story of survival during the Holocaust went untold for nearly 50 years and lives on through interviews Steve conducted with him, along with video clips of Abe's various speeches.
