Seymour Tech: Introduction to the iPadiPads are amazing all-in-one tools for email, text, photos, music & videos. They are also a camera, e-book reader, Internet browser, and gaming device. You will learn about setting up email, about Siri, iTunes, and the App Store. The advent of iPadOS makes the iPad truly unique from the iPhone. You can even totally replace other general-use computers with the iPad. You can add a real keyboard; in fact, your iPad will work with nearly any Bluetooth keyboard. NOTE: Due to the differences in the latest software, we will NOT be covering the iPhone in this class.

No appointments necessaryThe Orange County Health Department has switched to walk-in clinics for COVID vaccine distribution. No appointment or pre-registration is necessary.
Orange County Health will hold walk-in clinics every week at the Whitted Building: Monday 2-7 p.m., Wednesday 8 a.m.-1 p.m., Thursday 2-7 p.m., and Friday 8 a.m.-1 p.m. The county will also host pop-up clinics at other locations throughout the county. In Need of Incontinence Supplies? Thanks to generous donations, the Department on Aging has a supply of incontinence supplies including: Bed pads, pull up briefs, adult diapers, wipes, and adult booster pads. If you are in need of any of these supplies, we may be able to provide you with up to one pack per month (depending on availability of the items requested). Emergency Broadband Benefit ProgramThe Emergency Broadband Benefit is an FCC program to help families and households struggling to afford internet service during the COVID-19 pandemic. This new benefit will connect eligible households to jobs, critical healthcare services, virtual classrooms, and so much more.
The Emergency Broadband Benefit will provide a discount of up to $50 per month towards broadband service for eligible households and up to $75 per month for households on qualifying Tribal lands. Eligible households can also receive a one-time discount of up to $100 to purchase a laptop, desktop computer, or tablet from participating providers if they contribute more than $10 and less than $50 toward the purchase price.
As of May 12, 2021, eligible households will be able to enroll in the program to receive a monthly discount off the cost of broadband service from an approved provider. Eligible households can enroll through an approved provider or by visiting https://getemergencybroadband.org.

Did you miss the May 17th Income Tax Filing Deadline?The Orange County VITA program has closed for the tax season and will reopen in February 2022. If an individual taxpayer is owed a refund, there’s no penalty for filing late. On the other hand, tax owed and not paid by May 17, 2021 is subject to penalties and interest. Anyone who didn't file and owes tax should file a return as soon as they can and pay as much as they can to reduce penalties and interest. Electronic filing options, including IRS Free File, are still available on IRS.gov through October 15, 2021. Assistance with completing prior year returns can also be found at www.GetYourRefund.org.

Medicare Covers Preventive Services at No Charge to YouMedicare Part B and Medicare Advantage Plans all cover a large number of preventive services with no co-pays or deductibles. If you want to participate in senior center fee-based activities and are unable, or unwilling, to pay a required fee, you may still participate.
