ORANGE COUNTY, NC (September 6, 2018)—The Orange County Department on Aging encourages the public to participate in the National Falls Prevention Awareness Day and schedule a free falls prevention screening.
Saturday, September 22, is the first day of fall and is used to promote and increase public awareness on how to prevent and reduce falls among older adults.
To recognize the day, the Department on Aging invites residents to schedule an appointment for a FREE customized falls prevention screening, including a balance screening, footwear exam, exercise demonstration, walker and cane fitting adjustment, and consultation provided by UNC University Physical Therapy and ElderFit In Home Rehab.
