Anyone can compost, anywhere. Learn how at two upcoming composting classes held in Orange County. These classes teach the basics of outdoor composting using a variety of recipes and containers, and indoor composting using worms.
- Saturday, September 22, 10:00-11:30 a.m. at the Composting Demonstration Site located at the Community Center Learning Garden (behind the rose garden) on Estes Drive, Chapel Hill
- Saturday, October 13, 10:00-11:30 a.m. at the Composting Demonstration Site located at the Solid Waste Administrative Office, 1207 Eubanks Rd, Chapel Hill.
These composting classes are led by seasoned composting expert Muriel Williman from Orange County Solid Waste Management. No registration is necessary and they are FREE for all. Children are welcome if accompanied by a compost curious adult.
