The Orange County Department on Aging – Volunteer Connect 55+ VITA program needs volunteers to assist low to middle-income clients and make a difference in their lives!
VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) is a free IRS service for eligible clients offered at sites in Orange and Chatham Counties. Volunteers are needed in multiple capacities including:
- Tax Preparers
- Intake Receptionists
- Appointment Schedulers
Bilingual volunteer support is welcome at all levels.
VITA is a project of the Orange County Volunteer Connect 55+ program and provides free training for all assignments. Orientation sessions are held in October and the Tax Season starts February 1.
