Lunch and Learn Engaging Topics - Resistance During the Holocaust: Dispelling the Myth - Seymour

Thursday, August 29, 2019

This interactive program features a guest speaker each quarter. These healthy conversations will stimulate your mind and create new thoughts after each presentation or powerful performance. A catered lunch will follow. Sharon Halperin is the daughter of two Holocaust survivors from Poland and Latviva. Her mother survived the war by living in the forests in Poland. Her father escaped from the Riga Ghetto when his unit was tasked with digging ditches in a nearby forest. In this engaging session you will learn about resistance and rescue during the Holocaust. Sharon will discuss and highlight the facts which negate common misconceptions about the passivity of Jews. Min: 15/Max: 25
