North Carolina Department of Public Safety – ReBuild NC

Helps North Carolina Residents rebuild with grants, training, and resources available on their website. Also assists disaster survivors and local governments with disaster recovery and improving resiliency.

The Small Business and Technology Development Center (SBTDC)

The SBTDC has a long history of helping businesses prepare for and recover from disasters and has been identified as a “first responder” for business recovery in the state’s disaster recovery plan. Since 1999, the SBTDC has helped businesses secure federal or state disaster loans and provided post-disaster counseling to aid businesses in their recovery. They have a dedicated team of over 15 disaster-experienced business counselors who can be deployed within a few days notice to assist businesses in declared disaster areas.

The SBA offers disaster assistance in the form of low-interest loans to businesses, renters, and homeowners located in regions affected by declared disasters.

United States Department of Agriculture

When a tornado, flood, or drought strikes, or a quarantine is imposed by the Secretary of Agriculture, or when other natural disasters occur, FSA’s Emergency loan program is there to help eligible farmers and ranchers rebuild and recover from sustained losses.
