Orange County offers a variety of ways to pay taxes, which are listed below.
Tax Bill Inquiry
Tax Information is available to learn tax figures and to pay your taxes.
Cash
- accepted at both locations
Check or Money Order
- accepted at both locations
- make checks payable to: Orange County Revenue
- mail payments to: Orange County Revenue, P.O. Box 8181, Hillsborough, NC 27278
- A $25 or 10% penalty (whichever is greater) will be charged for any checks returned due to insufficent funds
Credit Card
- payments by credit card can ONLY be made by telephone (1-888-272-9829) or online
- accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover
- convienence fee of $3.00 or higher will be charged (OPC fee calculator: choose local payments)
- allow 3 business days for payment to be credited to your account. To request a receipt, contact us
