Q: Where can I park at the new West Campus facility?
A: Residents seeking services from the facilities at the West Campus can park in front of the buildings as well as in the County Customer section of the adjacent Eno River Parking Deck. This section is on the lower level of the parking deck and can be located by directional signage in and around the parking deck structure. There is a two hour limit on parking in these area. Q: Where can I find help in locating the new facilities and department locations?
A: One can call the County Assistance line at 919-245-2650 to ask questions. One can also visit the County website at www.co.orange.nc.us/OrangeOnThe Move.
Q: Will informational brochures be available for this transition?
A: Yes. Brochures will be available at all County facilities, Libraries, Senior Centers, Chapel Hill Town Hall and Carrboro Town Hall.
Q: Will services be unavailable during this transition?
A: Each department will strive to maintain service during the transition, but may close for a short period of time during the physical move. Contact each department for the individual transition schedules. Department contact information can be viewed at the County website (www.co.orange.nc.us).
Q: How will I locate the new facilities?
A: Wayfinding directions will be placed on the transitioning departments two weeks prior to the moves. Wayfinding directions are also posted on this transition website (www.oc.orange.nc.us/OrangeOnTheMove). During the first several weeks that the new facilities are open, Orange colored "Orange on the Move!" wayfinding signage will be placed in the travel corridors around Hillsborough. Once you are on the Campus, department directional signage as well as County customer parking signage will assist you.
Q: Will the service hours change once the new facilities are open?
A: All County departments involved in the transition will be open 8:00am through 5:00pm, Monday through Friday, except for the Main Library
The Orange County Main Library hours as as follows:
Monday through Wednesday: 10:00am through 8:00pm
Thursday through Friday: 10:00am through 6:00pm
Saturday 9:00am through 5:00pm
Sunday: Closed
