Orange County to Honor Veterans with Appreciation Breakfast

ORANGE COUNTY, NC (October 17, 2017)—The Orange County Department on Aging invites veterans and their family to a breakfast hosted in their honor on Friday, Nov. 10, at 8:30 a.m.

The appreciation breakfast will take place at the Passmore Center, located at 103 Meadowlands Drive in Hillsborough.

Amedisys Home Health and Hospice, Orange County Department on Aging, and Orange County Department of Social Services co-sponsor the free breakfast to show appreciation for veterans’ contribution and service to the United States of America.

To reserve seating, please call 919.245.2015 on or before Friday, Oct. 27.

Orange County Sheriff's Office will be cooking BBQ onsite at the Passmore Center during the Veteran’s Day breakfast. All proceeds will go towards the Orange County Veterans Memorial.

Immediately following the breakfast, the Orange County Veterans Committee will host a Veterans Day event at the Southern Human Services campus (2501 Homestead Road in Chapel Hill) at 11 a.m. Larry Hall, Secretary of NC Department of Military and Veterans Affairs will be the guest speaker.
