ORANGE COUNTY RECOGNIZES ADOPT A SHELTER DOG MONTH

Orange County, NC (October 2, 2017)—Orange County Animal Services is inviting the public to participate in Adopt a Shelter Dog Month by taking advantage of reduced adoption fees for all dogs and puppies throughout the month of October. In celebration of this event, Animal Services has reduced dog and puppy adoption fees by nearly half for the entire month of October, making the fee for these fully vaccinated, spayed/neutered animals only $65 for dogs and $70 for puppies!

As a part of Adopt a Shelter Dog Month, Animal Services will be participating in the ASPCA® (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals®) national Find Your Fido initiative. The #FindYourFido campaign is designed to expand the digital exposure for dogs in shelters across the country and raise awareness about the many benefits of adopting a pet.

In order to make the most of this fun month, Animal Services will feature select dogs and puppies on its Facebook page with the hashtags #FindYourFido and #DogAdoptionMonth, and will ask the public to participate by posting with those same hashtags when they adopt.
