ORANGE COUNTY TO HOST COMMUNITY CONVERSATION
ON DEATH AND DYING

ORANGE COUNTY, NC (October 31, 2016)—The Orange County Department on Aging and the Project EngAGE Senior Resource Team wants to know, Are you Planning to Die?

Community members, caregivers, medical and hospice workers, and religious leaders are invited to share your thoughts and experiences on death and dying on Thursday, Nov. 17, from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m. at the Seymour Center in Chapel Hill.

We want to hear your personal story. Were your loved one’s wishes honored? What went well and what didn’t? Would you do anything differently if you could do it over again? Sharing your story, and learning about others’ experiences, will allow us to develop a deeper understanding of what it really takes to die with dignity and choice.

Participants are asked to limit their presentation to five minutes so that everyone’s story may be heard.

If you didn’t attend the March 2016 Death with Dignity Panel Discussion, or simply want a refresher before this event, please attend an encore Death with Dignity Panel Discussion viewing event on Thursday, Nov. 10, from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m. also at the Seymour Center.

The Seymour Center is located at 2551 Homestead Road in Chapel Hill.

There is no fee to attend either event, and registration is not required.
