ORANGE COUNTY, NC (October 24, 2016)—The Orange County Department on Aging and the N. C. Seniors’ Health Insurance Information Program (SHIIP) invite the public to review your 2017 Medicare Drug Plans and Medicare Advantage Plans.

Two special Medicare Open Enrollment Clinics will be offered to assist beneficiaries in reviewing their coverage and making changes that may lower their costs in the coming year. Beneficiaries could save by:

  • Evaluating eligibility for low-income subsidies
  • Changing to the lowest cost Part D Drug Plan based on current medications & preferred pharmacy
  • Exploring available Medicare Advantage Plans

The clinic is being offered on Thursday, November 10, and again on Saturday, December 3, 2016. Certified Seniors’ Health Insurance Information Program (SHIIP) Medicare counselors will provide free, un-biased one-on-one counseling to those who are Medicare eligible.
