ORANGE COUNTY TO HOLD PUBLIC INFORMATION MEETING ON SCHOOL IMPACT FEES
ORANGE COUNTY, NC (September 9, 2016) — The Orange County Planning Department will host a public information meeting regarding recently completed school impact fee studies for both the Orange County Schools district and the Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools district. The meeting will held on Monday, September 26, 2016, beginning at 6:00 p.m. at the Whitted Meeting Facility, 300 West Tryon Street, 2nd floor, Hillsborough, NC.
The purpose of the public information meeting is to provide an opportunity for interested persons to learn more about the recently completed technical studies that will inform possible updates to the amounts charged to new residential development for school impact fees. The draft studies are available for viewing on the Planning Department’s website: http://www.orangecountync.gov/departments/planning_and_inspections/current_interest_projects.php
Additionally, the Board of County Commissioners will hold a public hearing on potential updates to the school impact fee levels on October 4, 2016, beginning at 7:00 p.m. at the Whitted Meeting Facility.
