ORANGE COUNTY, NC (September 1, 2016)—Orange County Department on Aging announces extended hours at the Seymour Center in Chapel Hill effective Monday, September 12, 2016.

Beginning September 12, the Seymour Center’s evening hours will expand to close at 9:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday.  On Saturdays, the center will open 30-minutes earlier, starting at 8:30 a.m.

Recognizing the need to accommodate working adults, the Department on Aging made the decision to extend evening hours. “The new hours will allow us to add new programs and activities, as well as provide an opportunity for baby boomers to take part in the great things that we offer,” said the department’s senior centers administrator, Myra Austin.

  Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
