Orange County Announces 2018 Spring Job Fair
ORANGE COUNTY (March 23, 2018) -- Orange County Department of Social Services (DSS), in partnership with the Orange County Skills Development Center, will host the 2018 Spring Job and Trade Fair on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
The job fair will provide job seekers with the unique opportunity to connect face-to-face with more than 85 employers. Click here for a list of confirmed employers participating.
The goal of the event is for employers to leave with several possible candidates for hire. Candidates are encouraged to dress professionally and bring their resume. You do not need to register prior to the event.
“This event is an excellent opportunity for employers to meet potential employees with a variety of skill sets, from experienced professionals to talented entry-level individuals,” said Lindsey Shewmaker, Orange County DSS Human Services Manager.
The bi-annual job fair is also an opportunity for veterans to meet with a variety of employers in an array of industries and fields. The Mobile Vet Center will be on site to meet with any veterans and help identify jobs targeted specifically for them. In addition to employment assistance, representatives will also be available to connect veterans to counseling services.
The event will take place at the Orange Works Employment and Training Center at 113 Mayo Street, Hillsborough, NC, 27278.
